Mark down Saturday, the 16th
day of November. 2013 on your calendar in blue! GEWNg2013 begins! The
much awaited event that is marked globally starts here in Lagos, Nigeria, with
participants from all over the country and different walks of life. From the
College students who have picked up projects to do in their communities to the
University Student, who is an entrepreneur to the Youth Corp member to great
CEOs and great entrepreneurs who are employers of labor in the nation. Every
year since 2011, all these people look forward to the GEW Week, for reunion,
networking and brainstorming on better ways to improve the lots of citizens of
the nation.
This
year, we kick off with a walk! Yes! A walk! A healthy mind cannot function
without a healthy body! Our walk starts with over 500 participants, and our
take off point is from EDC to Muri- Oknola Park. Our Route:- EDC via- Adeola
Hopewell-via-AdetokunboAdemola-via-Ahmed Bello- via- Adeola Odekun- via- Akin Adesola- via AdemolaAlakija –to- Muri- Okunola. The
walk is also our means of letting the unemployed at home to know that, sitting
at home and waiting for that dream job-that may never come is not only ruining
them but also affecting the nation’s economy. We at EDC see a great Nigerian
economy built through SMEs, sustained and transferred to the next generations.
Our walk is for entrepreneurship! A walk meant
to create awareness that there is more you can do about your passion, your
dream! There are opportunities all around you, you can only see them if you
look in the right direction. And if you are properly empowered, you can become
an employer of labor!
