SME Conference: 2013 sneak peak 1

As the SME Conference draws near, we promised you a glance into the past [here, here and here], and now we will give you a glimpse of the future - this year's edition's participants!

#SMEConference2013 will begin with the session titled "What model is right for your business?" and the moderator will be no other than Deji Agboade, of BPI Advisory.

Deji Agboade heads BPI Advisory, which is a business consulting firm providing value-driven and result-oriented professional services, aimed at enhancing business performance for their clients. They have significant business transformation experience, with large, mid-sized, and governmental organizations, across several industries, and have developed deep competency in their core business functions, which include Operational Efficiency, Financial Management, and Business Diagnosis and Strategy.

Deji Agboade himself, is an accountant with several years of experience with one of the big four consulting firms in Nigeria - his specific focus is Business Performance Improvement.

A major hot seat occupant for this session is Emmanuel Ocholi, who is an Economist, a Banker and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbroker with over three decades of experience in the Nigerian Economy. After building an impressive banking career in NAL Merchant Bank Limited (Now Sterling Bank Plc) between 1976 and 1986, he led a group of investors to promote, Rims Securities Limited (now Lighthouse Asset Management Limited).
He was appointed the Managing Director / Chief Executive of Rims Merchant Bank Limited following the promotion of that bank by Lighthouse Asset Management, a post he held until 1994 when he relinquished the executive function on to pursue other interests. He is on the Board of several companies with interests spanning Software Development, Real Estate, Insurance and Telecommunications. He is currently a member of Branch Council of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.


Others in the hot seat include Babatunde Okupa of First Atlantic Oil and Gas, Biodun Afolabi of Shallybros Limited and Helen Emore of Warri Industrial Park.
