Wow! The second edition of the Women in Africa Conference took place on July 10 and 11, 2013. It was awesome!
We had so many speakers, male and female, and we had big sponsors who also gave us a lot to digest, as concerns women and what we can do to make our lives, environment, and continent a better place.
It was also an opportunity to network with other women in business around the country - some people came from as far as Port Harcourt for the event!
The men present were few, and must have been thinking 'We are an endangered species here'. The NYSC corpers present were numerous and not reticent - they asked questions when given the opportunity.
All in all it was a wonderful experience - and the participation was online as well! Many present took to Twitter and Facebook to share the golden nuggets they were receiving, realtime, using the hashtags #WIA2013, #WIALagos, #WomeninAfricaConference2013, and the handles @edc4sme and @wiaforum.
