We launched 2013's GEW today!

Today was the #GEWLaunch2013! A breakfast meeting, called 'The Partners Forum', brought together several key partners and stakeholders, of this worthy cause.
But what is GEW?
GEW stands for Global Entrepreneurship Week. It is an annual event that occurs over the span of one week, and includes the participation of entrepreneurial experts, policy-makers, education practitioners and stakeholders, politicians, and philanthropists. It is marked as an international initiative that introduces entrepreneurship to young people in over six continents across the globe AT THE SAME TIME every year!

Since its creation, more than 10 million people in over 130 countries have participated in entrepreneurial-related activities during the Global Entrepreneurship Week. Activities can number over 40,000 all over the globe!

In Nigeria, GEW is hosted and coordinated by The Enterprise Development Centre [yep, that's us!], of the Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria. We work with several stakeholders, partners and educational institutions to make the week-long event a reality every year. Some of our partners include Zapphaire Events, ClassicFM, Kwara State University, YABATech, Etisalat, Stanbic IBTC and many more!

Here is a cross-section of tweets during the event:

This year, we have so many activities to plan ahead for, and new partners too! Come November, the whole country will be agog with lots of activities occurring at the same time!

You can follow it up on social channels with the tag #GEWNg2013
